Rosie - Pointers in Need

About Pointer Rosie

Sex: Female        Age: 4 years

Rosie is originally from Portugal and is 4 years old

Rosie currently lives in Edinburgh, she was brought to the UK after being rescued from a shelter in Portugal. When Rosie was in the shelter, she shared a kennel with six other dogs.  Rosie generally gets on with other dogs but can be aggressive towards other dogs when on the lead (this can be intermittent as she is fine with some dogs) so would benefit from some additional training.

Unfortunately, Rosie’s current owner is unable to provide Rosie with the amount of exercise a pointer needs. Rosie has a very high prey drive and will chase anything from a fly to a deer. She leaps at cyclists and runners when on her lead, off the lead in the woods she is too busy running around to notice other dogs, runners or cyclists.  Rosie will benefit from someone who can spend time training her and has the energy to take her for long walks on or off the lead.  Rosie is a lovely pointer that wants to run, play and enjoy being a pointer.

Please contact us if you can give Rosie a new loving, forever home very soon, Pointers In Need is working with the owner to rehome Rosie and all enquiries will be forwarded to her current owner.
