Sex: Male Age: Circa 7/8 years
Winston is a lovely, middle aged gentleman. He came to San Animal in February of last year. We had heard that there was an injured dog hanging around a beach bar just on the edge of San Juan de Los Terreros, but had been unable to catch sight of him for a number of weeks. Then in February (2016) we held a bike ride event and when we stopped for a coffee on the beach there was Winston hanging around!!
He came up to us and let us put a collar and lead on him. He was picked up and taken back to base. Our mobile vet came straight out to him and treated his wound. He was then taken to kennels where he was looked after until his wound had totally healed.
Winston is now in the San Animal emergency kennels and ready to go to his forever home.
Winston weighs approximately 40 kilos, and at a guess is part Pointer. We think he is about 7 or 8 years old. He enjoys human company, and would just wants to have his own person to love. We believe that he would be more suited to a home without children. He has had contact with other dogs. We do not know how he is with cats. He is protective over his food.
Winston is an extremely clean boy – there is never any mess in his ‘bedroom’ in the morning. He is always happy to see us when we arrive at the kennels and does a little dance when you give him a treat – and you can be sure to get a lovely warm lick of thanks from him!!!
