‘Wake up, Alfred!’ by David Ellwand, is a delightful photographic account of a Pointer preparing for a very busy day ahead.  A charming gift for youngsters and Pointer lovers alike, the author has very kindly agreed to donate all the profits from the sale of the book to Pointers in Need.

The photographs in Wake Up, Alfred! were originally published in David Ellwand’s picture puzzle book Alfred’s Party, in 2000. They feature David’s English Pointer, Alfred – otherwise known as Meanwood Modern Art – who faithfully posed stock still every time the pre-digital camera came out.
