About Hooper

Sex: Male          Age: 3 years           Status: In a rescue centre, Bucks, UK

Hooper is a stunning young Turkish Catalburun Pointer, with a distinctive  – and very kissable –  ‘split’ nose. Like so many Pointers Hooper endured a tough life with a hunter but thankfully, he was rescued by Gilly, a wonderful lady who spent four months rehabilitating him at her rescue centre in Aydin, Turkey.

He was adopted and came to the UK in mid November, however, Hooper’s adopter’s family circumstances were not ideal.  So we’ve stepped in with the help of his rescuer and a super rescue centre in Buckinghamshire where he’s currently staying.

Hooper made quite an impact on Gilly who describes him as ‘brilliant with kids and other dogs, he loves everyone and has fantastic enthusiasm for life’. It’s clear that Hooper received a great deal of one-to-one attention whilst under her care.  He is calm, obedient, knows several commands and is quite simply a pure joy. Hooper will chase cats so he needs a home without them.

We think this young lad will suit a range of homes – but long-term stability is crucial as he’s had to cope with a great deal of change in recent weeks.  So if you are searching for a beautiful, young Pointer to share your home and life with,  please contact us. Thank you.
