Pointer In Need Beach Party

Glorious warm sunshine greeted Pointer lovers from across the UK who met at Claire Stokes and her partner Adam’s home for a BBQ and Pointer Beach Party.

The event held on Saturday 8th April 2017 in North Wales, saw lots of rescued and rehomed Pointers and their owners come together to have fun, catch up and of course, raise some much needed funds for Pointers In Need.

Clearly the Pointer Beach Party was a huge success – here are some quotes from some who attended:

Emily and I were delighted to attend the Pointer Beach Party and BBQ in North Wales. Our rescue Pointer Catalina had a wonderful day playing with all the other Pointers – boys and girls, big and small. It was a great opportunity to finally meet some of the wonderful people who work so hard to promote the welfare of this beautiful breed, be it providing homes for dogs or facilitating the safe passage of downtrodden animals to safety. Needless to say we all had plenty in common!” Said Adam Balderson-Higgins.

Lovely to finally meet you all! Beautiful place, lovely dogs and mental people! I wish the pub was closer lol! Thank you Claire and Adam for making it possible for us to come – you’re awesome!” commented Jayne Lambe

Arrived home, great weather, great place, great dogs, great people, great day – thank you all” said Colin Lipscomb

Such a lovely day with friends old and new. Thank you Claire and Adam and all your helpers, and ALL the dogs for behaving so well.” said Jane Russell

Winners of the raffle are: Clare Harvey, Karen Trevaskis, Adam Balderson-Higgins, Pat, John Stokes, Anne Chapman, Gill Grundy. Emily Bristow won a copy of the renown ‘Pedigree Pointers 2010 Book’, kindly donated by Mark Andrews.

The sun shone on us all from sunrise to sunset, what a fabulous day it has been, full of fun, laughter and Pointers. All 17 Pointers and 3 honorary Pointers we ver well behaved – not a bad word amongst them. Thank you all for coming, taking the time and the energy to help our beautiful Pointers In Need. Thank you to Lee Walton for doing the cooking. What a day!!!!” said host, Claire Stokes.

There are so many Pointers that need homesand many more still that are waiting in the wings to come onto our books.
